The King’s Warriors Soccer Club closed out their fall, 2021, season with their 10th straight appearance at the NACA National Soccer Tournament.
The team was very young this year, and the final roster was evenly split with seven young men and seven young women. While the team had a few low spots, they exceeded all expectations and had a lot of highlights.
The team’s final record was 13-11-3, and included several invitational tournament wins, most notably the 1st Annual Bella Vista Futbol League championship. The King’s Warriors scored an amazing 97 goals, despite fielding a defensive 4-5-1 formation. Striker Aaron Smith led all scorers with 40 goals, and Chance Blevins was right behind with 32. Other goal scorers included Noah Stoneback, 6; Jayden Cox, 5; Marley Stoneback, 3; Jake Dickens, 2. Andrew Smith, Andrew Helmick, Adalee Blevins, Sarah Okes, and Chris Haynes all added one goal each. The Warriors also forced 4 own goals.
The defense, led by co-captain Jayden Cox and goalkeeper Jake dickens, posted eight (8) shutouts. Other King’s Warriors that contributed greatly to the team’s success included Carlie Michael, Delilah Taylor, Jasmine Winkler, Aedan Bailey, Ike Naylor, Chloe Blevins, and Michael, Charlie & Joseph Swiney.
