We will form teams and play games beginning this Sunday, September 12 at Hilldale Community Park near Talcott. Things will be a little unorganized the first week since our initial practice was limited due to bad weather.
We anticipate four (4) teams in each division. Games will be played where your child practices: KG-1st grade on the far field; 2nd-4th on the right hand field; 4th-8th grade on the left hand field. Games will run simultaneously with start times of 2:30 and 3:15. Schedules and rosters will be prepared for this Sunday’s games. We will make adjustments as necessary.
Here is a brief summary of the rules for FUNino Soccer.
1. Games will consist of four (4) 8-minute periods (quarters), with 2-minute breaks between quarters.
2. Teams will consist of 3 or 4 players on the field at a time. Players may substitute freely at any time.
3. There are no goalies, offsides, or direct kicks. All fouls are indirect kicks. Throw ins are replaced with kick ins.
4. Players may score on either of the two (2) goals they are attacking, but must be within 10 yards. There are NO own goals.
5. If games are tied at the final whistle, we will have penalty kick shootouts for fun and practice.
We will sign up kids any time, so bring your friends to play!
