King’s Warriors Announce All American Player Selections

The Southern West Virginia King’s Warriors Soccer Club is pleased to announce that two of their players were recently named to the National Association of Christian Athletes 2017 All American Soccer Team. Dakota-Jack Spurgin, a James Monroe High School sophomore from Greenville, WV, and David Blume, a home schooled sophomore from Forest Hill, WV, were selected for this prestigious honor. Spurgin is the goal keeper for the King’s Warriors outdoor varsity soccer team. He helped the team to a 9-6-3 record this past fall, posting eight shutouts along the way. This included three straight shutouts that led to a first place finish in the NACA Fourth Division National Championship. He was also named to the NACA All-Tournament Team and was selected the Fourth Division Defensive MVP. Blume, the King’s Warriors attacking center midfielder and second year team co-captain, was the team’s leading scorer with 10 goals. He was also named to NACA’s All-Tournament Team this past season. The King’s Warriors Soccer Club is a ministry of The Nehemiah Group, Inc., and Countryside Baptist Church, Forest Hill, WV. The club offers playing opportunities for ages 4 through adult.
